About the Piece:

A reflection of self, as a Salvadoran-American. What does it mean to be of a mixed cultural heritage? What does it look like to be the product of colonization, of being ni aquí ni alla? Through collage, oils and acrylic, I took a self-examination of symbolism portrayed, almost through a folkloric lens.
